Apostolate Description

Social ministry is about serving people. In this Ministry we work with women , children, youth's groups and other vulnerable members of the society. We train them in vocational skills like groooming, counselling, catechisis and teach them how to form small christian communities. We also teach them income generating activities like making locally made items for sale.

We also have children's homes in different dioceses and the star of the sea in Mukumu. The following are some of the children's homes we serve in:

Gangama Babies Home

This is a babies home in Uganda the archdiocese of Tororo. Here the sisters take care of abandoned babies through the help of well wishers. One of our Donors, Erick, has sponsored the construction of an ECD Where the children learn. They also have deaf children from the surrounding community. The sisters go looking for the deaf children to offer them a better life since some are hidden by the community.

St. Joseph the Worker

This is a school and home for mentally challenged children, a dispensary, an epilepsy clinic, and a gymnasium for physiotherapy. It is located in Malava Kakamega, Kenya. The children are divided into three main groups: rehabilitation, pre-vocational, and vocational training. The vocational students learn dress-making and tailoring. The mission of the school is the help the students reach the highest level of independence possible.

Star of the Sea

The sick sisters who stabilize at the sick bay are referred to star of the sea for there residence. This category have chronic illnesses but can perform the activities of daily living. Old aged sisters who are afraid to be at the sickbay prefer to settle at the star of the sea.The place needs renovation for comfort of the old Sisters because since it's construction by the ursuline sisters it has never been renovated.
